For the third consecutive year, V-Net Technologies Inc. (V-Net) will provide reliable internet connectivity to FL Sport, enabling the continued live streaming of sporting events across Guyana.
The partnership was formally renewed during a signing ceremony held at V-Net’s headquarters, 25 Delph Street, Campbellville, Georgetown.
Following the extension of the agreement, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of V-Net, Safraz Sheriffudeen, emphasized the company’s commitment to supporting the pioneers of live sports streaming in Guyana, noting that the platform gives emerging talent the opportunity to be seen.
“FL Sport goes beyond the traditional clusters and gives us a true picture of the next generation of superstars,” Sheriffudeen said. “Whether they are streaming from Region One, Region Seven, the Corentyne or the Essequibo Coast, we are committed to playing our part in putting our sportsmen and women in the spotlight so they can shine.”
The partnership, which began in 2024, sees V-Net providing mobile internet connectivity to allow FL Sport to stream events from virtually anywhere in the country, at any time.
According to FL Sport CEO John Ramsingh, the collaboration has significantly expanded the reach of live sports coverage.
“Previously it was almost impossible to broadcast from remote areas,” Ramsingh explained. “But thanks to the knowledgeable team at V-Net, we can now set up and go effortlessly, whether near or far. What is even more exciting is that event hosts will no longer have to worry about providing or paying for internet services, as V-Net absorbs those costs.”
Before 2024, organizations were often required to use venues with existing internet connectivity, or FL Sport would have to provide the service at an additional cost. That is no longer the case.
Over the years, FL Sport has built a reputation as the go-to team for live sports coverage, particularly cricket. With one of the most critical components of live streaming now consistently provided by V-Net, fans can expect the same high standard of coverage to continue through at least the end of 2026.
