The Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) has officially unveiled a strong and balanced Under-16 squad to take on Barbados in the upcoming CWI Rising Stars Under-16 50-Over Bilateral Series.
The tournament, which is set to bowl off on March 27 and run until April 7, 2026, will be hosted in Guyana and is expected to showcase some of the region’s most promising young cricketers as they continue their development at the youth level.
Demerara Cricket Club (DCC) player, Lomar Seecharran, has been named captain, while Leon Reddy will serve as his deputy.
Guyana U-16 squad reads: Lomar Seecharran (Captain), Ravid Fredricks, Akash Ramdewar, Luke Amsterdam, Nathan Bishop (Wicketkeeper), Asgaralli Nabi, Altaf Ali, Makai Dowlin, Leon Reddy (Vice-Captain), Jaden Ganpat, Jonathan Barry, Gautam Dhanraj, Brandon Grimmond, Devraj Persaud.
A Ashton Collins, Ravindra Persaud, Demarcus Thomas, Trevor Reynolds, Afraz Khan, Prosper Jacobus and Usain Fredricks.
The team will be managed by Terry Newton, with Yeuraj Khemraj serving as head coach, as the young squad prepares for what is expected to be a competitive series on home soil.
The fixtures are expected to be released in the coming days.
