For the first time in a decade, Demerara defeated defending champions Berbice to lift the GCB Under-19 Title. Madramootoo the star of the show.

Berbice 58 all out in 16.2 overs. Tamara George was the lone batter to reach double figures, Demerara bowled 20 extras. Emalissa Whyte 3-12, Tamica Simon 3-19, Chelsea Latiff 2-21.
Demerara 59-1 in 14.5 overs. Madramootoo 19 not out and Sarah Amin 12 not out. Demerara won by nine wickets.
Earlier in the day, Madramootoo’s 50 led Demerara to victory over Essequibo.

Demerara in reply, made 127-2 off 18.4 overs with Madramootoo top scoring with 52 retired hurt. Sarah Amin supported with 26.
The GCB is expected to name the Guyana Girls under-19 soon. Guyana will participate in the CWI Girls under-19 Regional Super50 in Trinidad and Tobago next month.
