The American Cricket Society – Everest (ACS) suffered their first loss of their Goodwill Tour of Guyana 2026 when Enmore Cummunity Centre Cricket Club ground (ECCCC) produced a disciplined all-round performance to secure a five-wicket victory on Sunday.
The match, played in memory of the late Harriman Joseph, carried special significance as the former cricketer maintained strong ties with both ACS and the Enmore cricket fraternity, adding an emotional undertone to the contest.
After winning the toss and opting to bat, ACS were restricted to 135 all out in 24.5 overs following a probing bowling effort led by Alex Mahase and Richard Chaturia.
Mahase delivered an outstanding spell of 4 for 15 from 5.5 overs, while Chaturia provided excellent support with 4 for 22, combining effectively to dismantle the ACS batting line-up at regular intervals.
ACS struggled early with the loss of wickets inside the powerplay and never fully recovered despite some resistance in the middle order. Bhaskar Yadram played the most aggressive knock of the innings with 37 from 29 balls, striking four towering sixes, while captain Akeem Dewar added a brisk 32 from 27 deliveries to push the visitors past the three-figure mark.
Earlier contributions from Karan Ganesh (23) helped stabilise the innings briefly, but the disciplined Enmore attack ensured the total remained within reach.
In reply, Enmore chased down the target with measured composure, reaching 139 for 5 in 27.5 overs, anchored by a classy unbeaten innings from former West Indies test opener Rajendra Chandrika.
Chandrika crafted a patient 68 not out from 86 balls, blending control with timely aggression, including two fours and two sixes, to guide his team home despite a few early setbacks.
After the quick dismissals of Vikash Wilkinson and Rudolph Singh, Chandrika found support from Vishwanauth Ramlakhan, who contributed a steady 24, and wicketkeeper Dinesh Mangal, whose 19 helped maintain momentum during the middle overs.
For ACS, the wickets were shared among the bowlers with Ray Ramrattan, Jeremey Sandia, Michail Powell, Karan Ganesh, and Bhaskar Yadram picking up one wicket each, but the total proved insufficient to apply sustained pressure.
The defeat means ACS now stand at two victories and one loss on the Goodwill Tour.
The action continues on Monday at the LBI Ground, where ACS will face the Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) Emerging Players from 12:00 pm.
Following that encounter, the tour shifts under floodlights on Tuesday night at Meten-Meer-Zorg, where ACS will battle Rebels in what promises to be another exciting clash.

ACS 135 all out in 24.5 overs (Bhaskar Yadram 37, Akeem Dewar 32; Alex Mahase 4-15, Richard Chaturia 4-22)
Enmore CCCC 139-5 in 27.5 overs (Rajendra Chandrika 68*, Vishwanauth Ramlakhan 24; Ray Ramrattan 1-14)
