Batting first, Guyana Harpy Eagles scraped their way to 177 all out in 48.1 overs as Tevin Imlach was the only batter to impress with his 105-ball knock of 80. Support came from Tagenarine Chanderpaul who scored 30 and Romario Shepherd with 19. No other batter got past 13 as Guyana’s batting continued to struggle in this year’s tournament. Bowling for CCC, Guyanese Akshaya Persaud led the way with figures of 2-23 from 9 overs while Abhijai Mansingh and Shatrughan Rambaran also picked up 2 wickets each.
In their turn to bat, CCC were well set on 66-1 after 8 overs as Kadeem Alleyne went berserk smashing 47 in just 27 balls including 2 fours and 5 sixes. They then lost wickets in quick succession to slump to 86-5. At this point, the rains came and no further play was possible. Kevin Sinclair claimed 3 wickets while Gudakesh Motie and Veerasammy Permaul each picked up 1 wicket.

At Queen’s Park Oval, the West Indies Academy defeated Jamaica Scorpions by 6 wickets (DLS Method) to pick up their second win of the tournament. Jamaica Scorpions posted 263-9 in 50 overs thanks to a well compiled half-century from Kirk McKenzie. Batting at number 3, McKenzie struck 5 fours and 2 sixes in his knock of 84. He got support from his skipper, Rovman Powell who scored 53. The two added 102 for the 4th wicket which gave Jamaica a platform to launch an attack in the last 15 overs. However, they both fell to Nyeem Young. Young, the Academy captain then ran through the Jamaican lower order to finish with 5 wickets to his name.
In response, the Academy were set a target of 227 to get in 40 overs and they got there comfortably with 15 balls to spare thanks to Leonardo Julien’s 52 and Teddy Bishop’s unbeaten 67. Kevin Wickham also contributed 37 which included 3 sixes. Shalome Parnell picked up 2 wickets while Andre McCarthy and Powell each got 1.

At Brian Lara Cricket Academy, Kyle Mayers’ unbeaten century steamrolled the Windward Islands Volcanoes bowlers as the Barbados Pride romped to their second win of the tournament. The Volcanoes made 241-8 in their quota of 50 overs with contributions coming from Johnson Charles (59), Jeremy Solozano (40), Kavem Hodge (34) and Larry Edward (32). Bowling for Barbados, Jomel Warrican and Roston Chase each had 2 wickets to their name while there was a wicket each for Kyle Mayers, Dominic Drakes and Javed Leacock. Barbados were set a target of 148 in 21 overs and got there in the 15th over as Mayers seemed to have found his old self once again. He hit an unbeaten 107 off just 52 balls to sentence the Volcanoes to a 4th consecutive defeat. The Windward Islands bowlers had no answer for Mayers who smashed them for 9 fours and 9 towering sixes. Only Ryan John and Darel Cyrus got some success by picking up a wicket each.
