Yannic Cariah took his second 5-wicket haul in this year’s Super50 and hit an unbeaten 45 to take TT Red Force to their third win of the tournament. Batting first, Leeward Island Hurricanes were well set at one point with the score on 110 without any loss. Kieran Powell was the main contributor with 75 off just 48 balls. His knock included 5 fours and 6 sixes. When he was dismissed, it triggered a colossal collapse. They lost their remaining 9 wickets for just 88 runs; eventually being bowled out for 198. Justin Greaves tried to stabilize the innings with his 58 but he found no support from any of the batters. Yannic Cariah was the main destroyer with 5 for 48. In response, the Red Force lost Joshua Da Silva first ball of the innings and then lost 3 more quick wickets to slump to 44-4 in the 14th over. However, a 65-run partnership between Cariah and Jason Mohammed steadied the Red Force as they began to rebuild the innings. It was then left to Sunil Narine to play a spectacular cameo of 33 including 4 sixes which led the Red Force over the line. Skipper Alzarri Joseph led Hurricanes’ bowling with 3-45 and he got support from Hayden Walsh who also picked up 3 wickets.
