about us
FL Sport was established to make life easier for persons in and around sport, especially West Indies Cricket. What started out as a helping hand is now a household name in LIVE Streaming of sport in Guyana.
Chief Executive Officer and Founder of FL Sport, John Ramsingh was employed on a part-time basis by Cricket West Indies to set up a single-camera LIVE Stream of cricket matches in Guyana that involved Regional teams. However, the equipment was shared among territories and sometimes arrived late for various reasons. Ramsingh then thought it best to help the situation with the procurement of his own equipment. This was done in 2018. In early 2019, Cricket West Indies matches returned to Guyana and with it the first job for an excited cricket fan who was more than happy to help.
So with a Sony studio camera that was purchased from his friend Andrew Singh, a Black Magic Web Presenter video capture device (a gift from his friend Anil Hardyal), a professional 8-channel audio mixer with microphones that were purchased just for the gig and his personal laptop Ramsingh served cricket when he completed his first job.
The season was not long but the equipment and the expertise were there so then came the idea to serve local cricket. Unfortunately, nothing came up.
The next job was again another Cricket West Indies tournament. This time the Regional Women’s Series with matches at the international venue in Guyana, Providence which were done successfully. Then as the next men’s First Class season began and jobs began to flow, the world stopped due to the outbreak of the dreaded Covid-19 virus.
During the global lockdown, Ramsingh was himself locked out from Guyana as he was trapped in the USA while making his way back home from South Africa. In the three-month period, Ramsingh used the time to purchase additional equipment and accessories to add to the stock. Then as the world began to reopen it brought with it a huge demand for the airing live sport even in Guyana.
In early 2022, the demand was too much for one person so the team began to grow. Andrew brought additional technical expertise and together with Ramsingh they took on many jobs but again needed more hands.
By the end of 2022, the team grew to five with Sunil Ramlall, Ronaldo McGarrell and Lakeram Ramoutar coming on board. Later, Christopher Harry and Seon Bovell hopped on to serve the demand for live streaming in Guyana. This core is considered the true pioneers of LIVE streaming in Guyana.
While FL Sport is more known for LIVE Streaming of cricket matches, the team also took on outdoor field hockey, swimming, football and crossfit games and have done magnificently well.
Some of the early supporters of FL Sport include V-Net Communications, Regal Stationery and Computer Centre, Sterling Products Limited, Hand-in-Hand Mutual Fire Insurance Company Limited, The New Doctor’s Clinic, Asequith (Guyana) Inc. and Trophy Stall all successful business establishments in Guyana and positive influencers to FL Sport.
The question was asked many times and will be asked over and over again, “What does FL mean?” In 2015, Ramsingh broke away from the state owned National Communications Network Inc after 14 years as a Sales Representative and started an advertising agency. At the time he was still a key player in the advertising arena and was also doing cricket broadcasting and writing making him the ideal; Freelancer. Thus, the name of the company – Freelancer. It was simple logic to keep the name but with a twist. Today there are; Freelancer Advertising Agency, FL Sport and FL Production to serve the needs of the populace of Guyana.

When it comes to cricket production, I have done it all.
Growing up in William street Campbellville, I was surrounded by sports especially football and cricket which were played very competitively on the actual street by fathers, uncles, cousins, brothers and neighbours. However, my passion was ignited when I watched my first Test series on television. It was over the Christmas holidays in 1992 and it was truly a treat when West Indies toured Australia. Brian Lara converted his maiden Test century to 277, Junior Murray was acrobatic behind the stumps in his debut series and the West Indian fast bowlers were lethal.
Another high point of the series was seeing a guy that was so close to us on television. Carl Hooper, who was living a stone’s throw away from me, had an impact in the series and all… read more

I am an aspiring medical doctor who has a love for sports, mathematics and science. Born and raised on the East Coast of Demerara I am currently studying for a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) Degree at the University of Guyana. I am popularly called “Doc”.
I was introduced to FL Sport by my colleague and friend, Sunil Ramlall in April 2022 then I was invited to join. My first task was that of an electronic scorer but gradually made my way up the ranks becoming a versatile member of the team in just a few months. I have mastered V-Mix, switching, rigging and repacking. Now I am either behind a camera, managing the live output or commentating on the action.
I describe myself as somewhat of a perfectionist. I believe this quality and my critical thinking skills complement my role as both an analyst and a statistician. I can state confidently that… read more

I consider myself the livewire of FL Sport.
I am pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Marketing for which I have a passion. Despite growing up in the city of Georgetown, I still consider myself humble simply because I was raised in the simplest way.
Ever since school days, I found myself to be gritty and determined. I aim to continue grasping as much knowledge as possible and living my life to the fullest. Life is not the same for everyone, so remember to do good, and good will come to you.
I have been fascinated with cricket from a young age, but as I grew, I was exposed to other sporting disciplines, and it all started there for me. I see the need for exposure for our athletes… read more

I am an enthusiastic, self-motivated, reliable, responsible and hard working person. I am a mature team worker and adaptable to all challenging situations. I am able to work well both in a team environment as well as using my own initiative. I am able to work well under pressure and adhere to strict deadlines.
These qualities have made me a perfect fit for Team FL Sport which I joined formally in January 2023 as a Statistician.
I have been a Scorer for longer than I can remember, which dates back to before I even started falling in love with the game of cricket, some 20+ years ago. I would go to cricket matches to watch and observe. When asked if I wanted to play I would always decline and say I will keep… read more

I am a left arm seamer from Skeldon, Berbice. Despite my fierce and highly competitive spirit on the cricket field I am also a caring, trustworthy and warm person.
I share a great bond with my family and have a small circle of friends.
It is my desire to become an international cricketer. I have been playing the beautiful game since the age of eight (8) years old. In my free time I enjoy working out at the gym and training on the field with other cricketers and listening to music.
I am currently employed by FL Sport as a Videographer. The experience has been nothing short of great. It is my desire to continue to play my role as we keep the spotlight on our… read more
